Ordnance Factories Institute of Learning, Chennai is situated
with in HVF Estate, Avadi. It is one of the nodal
Training Institutes established by Ordnance Factory Board, Kolkata, Govt of
India, Ministry of Defence, Department of Defence Production and supplies in
the year 1996 for imparting training to Gr "B" and Gr "C" officials of
Ordnance factories and their allied establishments. The core competency
of this Institute is Personnel Management, Industrial Engineering, Armored
Vehicles (Tanks & ICV), Engineering production, Composites & Surface
treatments, Chargeman Training.

Also it has well planned Local Area Network system consisting of 40
nodes for imparting computer courses. This institute is having a well
established library having more than 1000 books of all categories from
Administration, Engineering, Management, Information Technology to HR.
It is also having a well furnished hostel with cosmopolitan boarding
arrangements. This Institute is having qualified and experienced faculties.
Further eminent faculties are invited from sister Ordnance factories,
Corporate Head Quarters, Director General Quality Assurance, Defence
Research and Development Organization, Universities and specialized
institutes like CIPET (Guindy), DMRDE Kanpur. Also freelancing experts in
domains relevant to the core competencies of the institute.
